A step closer

I just came home from the CBR-centre, the centre where I had to do my theory exam for driving. I passed! I'm so happy, I passed in one time, while I was afraid that I would have to do it a second time, but apparently I didn't! Did I already mention that I need to get my driving license in order to become an au pair in Australia? Well, if I didn't, then you know it now. I'm not allowed to do the au pair-program with the organisation described below if I don't have a driving license. I was going to take driving lessons as soon as I was able to anyway, but I'll consider this as an extra motivation to get it as quick as possible!

Okay, let's move on to the real information!

I'll be leaving in october I think. That would be.. 6 months from now. Too long! Though I'll need some time to get my stuff (and head) in order before I leave. Oh, and the money, not irrelevant.
I have already prepared a few things; I've bought a suitcase ON WHEELS. I've always wanted a suitcase that I don't have to carry around with a head like a tomato while everyone else passes me as if their suitcase isn't heavy at all. And now I finally have it! I have to share it with the rest of my family though, but as I'll be gone for 9 months, I consider it my suitcase for now.
My other preparations: choosing an organisation who can sort things out for me, so that I won't have to do it all by mysef. I already know what organisation I'm gonna register for: Travel Active.
It's a really good organisation, they take care of many things, such as an Australian sim card, a bank account etc.
They do not only have an au pair program, they also have a backpack program, voluntary work and much more. So if you're thinking about travelling yourself, you can google it. I would really recommend it!
